Your support matters, your time , your patience, your endurance, and the love & care that you give towards foster children and families it all makes a difference. While you may not be able to reach each child in the foster care system, reaching one changes a life & encourages others to reach another and so on.
I was reflecting the other day on the goodness and mercy and absolute unconditional love of our Father and was reminded of just how big our God is.
As a foster and adoptive child, I have been able to go back and reflect on this thought many times. God’s love and faithfulness is exercised daily through people like you and me to advocate and fight for the 443,000 children in the foster care system.
There have been many times growing up where I knew God’s hand was on me. He preserved my life from my mothers addiction. He fought battles I couldn’t even imagine as a child, like letting the neighbor find us abandoned & making sure we had a social worker who wanted to move heaven and earth just to keep my brother and I from being separated through the system. He moved on my foster dad's heart while driving in the car one day hearing an ad for a brother and a sister who were in need of a loving home.
God makes the impossible, possible everyday. I am so thankful for the time, patience and care my parents poured into me over the years after making that decision so many years ago to adopt. They persevered & overcame so many obstacles for us as children growing up - counseling sessions and advocating for us in the school system to have our needs met. None of it would have been possible without them leaning into God & having faith that it would work out in the end. I’m hoping that this encourages someone today to trust the process, keep pushing, keep fighting, and keep being your child’s advocate along the way.

Vanessa & her husband, Sam, have 4 beautiful children. Vanessa's love for Jesus is evident in all she does & her light for Him shines bright! Little side note: she has the greatest laugh & sense of humor.
