Rachel & Blair have decided to care for these 2 siblings unconditionally. Rachel says,
“When we said yes to him, that yes was unconditional. Unconditional doesn't change just because circumstances do.”
Rachel and Blair did everything that they could to meet as many needs as possible. With a consistent schedule of work, hospital and then back home to hopefully get a few hours of sleep - it was 7 months of hanging on, just like JB was doing. They knew that in order to care for these kids and to be present with them throughout their journey, they had to sacrifice to do that. Juggling everything was difficult and although Rachel's employers were gracious and understanding, ultimately she had to make a choice. My passion for teaching has taken me around the world over the last 12 years. And yet the love for this boy is so real and so strong. My job requires all of me. But then so does my son. |
Rachel & Blair have chosen to love this child unconditionally and stay committed to him.
